Well, here we are on our road trip; David Lee and I are taking some time out to hit the museums in Connecticut, Rhode Island, New York, and Massachusetts. We are averaging two venues a day, and people have been very kind in that we have been shown behind the scenes in many places, and even viewed some collections which would not normally be open at this time of year.
The resuts of all this will be appearing on the blog over the next few weeks, but here is a taster from the 1941 Historical Aircraft Group Museum at Geneseo, New York – a fabulous Douglas A20-H-1-DO, serial number 44-0020, ex-Nicaraguan Air Force, which used to be at Chino, California. It is being fully restored.
Much more later, as we are currently in Elmira, NY and have to move on to the next museum!
